Who uses a Swash?

The Benefits of Swash

Water is the best way to clean just about anything. We use it to wash our bodies because it's effective, comfortable and leaves us feeling refreshed. In fact, it's hard to imagine washing without it. You certainly wouldn't use dry paper to clean your face or a dirty dish. Yet, when we go to the toilet we use dry paper to clean the most sensitive areas of our body. In truth, toilet paper is abrasive, unsanitary and just plain ineffective.

Swash changes all that. As you sit in comfort on the heated seat, warm water provides a gentle and soothing cleansing, leaving you feeling shower fresh every time you use the toilet.

Swash can be used by anyone, male or female, from children to the elderly. Children love using the Swash too, and it's perfect for children who are potty-trained but not yet able to clean themselves. While the comfort and gentle cleansing of a Swash make it the perfect addition for any home's luxury bath, it also provides particular relief for conditions that affect many of our daily lives such as itching, irritation and discomfort.

The various settings on the Swash can be adjusted to suit your personal needs. Use the softer washing mode to gently cleanse and soothe affected areas or increase pressure for a more thorough cleansing. Regardless of your personal needs or circumstances, the ease, comfort, and hygienic qualities of the Swash will play an integral part in your healthy, contemporary lifestyle.

Superior Hygiene and Reassurance for Women

Pregnant, menstruating, and sexually active women especially love the feminine wash feature, leaving them shower clean and fresh anytime. The Swash is also effective for yeast infections.

Relief and Comfort for Hemorrhoid Sufferers

Those who suffer from hemorrhoids and diarrhea will love the thorough gentle cleansing and warm air dryer features, eliminating the need for harsh toilet paper.

Confidence & Dignity for Senior Citizens

Those who suffer from incontinence, hemorrhoids, diarrhea and mobility issues will benefit from both the thorough cleansing and soothing relief, as well as the Swash's easy to use features.

People with Disabilities

The handicapped, and others with mobility problems will appreciate the Swash because it is so easy to use.

Hygiene for Men

What is a Swash?

Just Imagine...

"My entire family agrees that the Swash is the only thing in our house we could never live without again!"

- S. Epstein, Palo Alto, CA

You walk into your bathroom and sit down on your Swash contoured and comfortably heated toilet seat. When finished, you simply press a button for a posterior or feminine wash and you are met with a warm, aerated water spray. You can dry yourself with the warm air dryer or pat-dry with a small amount of toilet paper. You leave your bathroom shower-fresh as the gentle-closing lid slowly lowers behind you.

Swash-like products are providing over 20 million men, women, and children around the world a healthier, more hygienic lifestyle. The bidet is recognized for its superior cleansing qualities accomplished by using water rather than irritating, ineffective dry toilet paper.

What is a Swash?

A Swash is a high-tech toilet seat (also known as a seat bidet) that utilizes two retractable water wands to provide a fresh and hygienic cleansing of posterior and feminine areas. A Swash actually replaces your conventional toilet seat. Better than a conventional toilet seat, it has a heated seat and delivers a warm water wash with temperature, pressure, and pulsation adjustability. All functions are easily operated at the push of a button through side-mounted controls (Swash 400) or through a remote control (Swash 600).

What is the difference between the Brondell Swash and the Toto Washlet?

Brondell Swash products fit more toilets than Toto Washlets, have a more compact, elegant design, and are a better value than Toto Washlets.

What is different between Swash 400 & Swash 600?

The Swash 400 has the controls attached to the toilet seat. If a single unit design at an incredible price is what you're looking for, the Swash 400 is the product for you. The Swash 600 includes a wall-mounted remote control that can be operated there or removed from its bracket for hand-held operation. The Swash 600 also includes a warm air dryer, which reduces or completely eliminates the need for toilet paper.

Swash Features & Benefits

Posterior & Feminine Wash
Both Swash are equipped with dual retractable wands - one for a posterior wash and one specifically designed for a feminine wash. The wands spray aerated warm water providing a soothing, cleansing wash. The temperature and strength of each spray is adjustable to ensure a perfect experience every time. Both wands incorporate a self-cleaning cycle before and after each use to ensure superior hygiene.

Heated Contoured Seat
Both Swash models feature a heated seat, making those cold mornings bearable. The temperature is adjustable to your preference in three temperature levels as well as an off setting when not needed.

Gentle Closing Seat & Lid
Both the seat and the lid close slowly, with just a flick of the finger. The gentle close feature means you will never have the accidental slamming lid and also greatly increases the amount of men who put the seat down after using the toilet!

Warm Air Dryer
The Swash 600 incorporates a built-in warm air dryer to dry your bottom after the warm water wash. The temperature can be set to three levels according to your preference and the dryer provides a pleasant experience while reducing or eliminating the need for toilet paper.

Superior Quality & Styling
Both Swash models fit over 95% of US toilets and are styled to match many fit and match toilets from major manufacturers, including Kohler and American Standard one piece designs. The Swash was designed with style in mind, engineered for quality and performance, and fully tested for proven reliability. We guarantee it!

Easy Installation & Cleaning
The Swash toilet seat in most cases can be installed in under an hour and is as easy as one, two, three: 1) remove your existing toilet seat, 2) Make the water and power connections, and 3) install the mounting bracket and slide the Swash in place. The Swash quick-release feature allows the product to be removed for cleaning with the push of a button.

How does a Swash work?

Will a Swash fit my toilet?

The Swash fits over 95% of residential toilets in the US. A Swash will even fit Kohler one-piece toilets. Unless you have a toilet with a square bowl or one that is wall-mounted, a Swash should fit your toilet. Just check your toilet type, round or elongated, and choose the appropriate Swash If the Swash doesn't fit, return it to the place of purchse within 30 days and Brondell will refund your purchase price.

top

Should I order the Swash 400 or 600?

The differences between these models are the placement of the controls and the option of an adjustable warm-air dryer.

The Swash 600 includes a wall-mounted remote control that can be operated there or removed from its bracket for hand-held operation. The Swash 600 also has a dryer, which reduces or eliminates the need for toilet paper.

The Swash 400 has the controls attached to the toilet seat. If a single unit design packed with features at an incredible price is what you're looking for, the Swash 400 is the product for you.

top

What installation is required?

Standard installation is easy and takes less than an hour. Remove your existing toilet seat, install a mounting bracket, and attach the Swash to the bracket and connections. The Swash includes a T-valve installed directly below the toilet water tank to direct filtered household water to a small reservoir within the unit. The Swash operates on standard 120 volts AC and is equipped with a four foot cord.

top

Do I need an electrical outlet?

Yes. You will need a three prong GFCI grounded outlet (e.g., outlet that has a safety breaker in it -- same as those found in kitchens). If your outlet is more than four feet from the toilet, a grounded extension cord is necessary.

top

What maintenance is required?

Swash seats are made of germ-resistant plastic. They can be cleaned with a soft, wet cloth and a mild detergent. For complete cleaning, the Swash can be easily detached from its mounting bracket.

Although Swash wands are self-cleaning, Brondell recommends they be cleaned with a soft brush monthly or as needed. Brondell recommends water filters be cleaned regularly, which will vary depending on your water source.

Any maintenance issue can be discussed with Brondell product support at 1-888-542-3355.

top

Is a Swash safe and reliable?

The Brondell Swash is UL certified and Brondell warrants its products for one year from date of purchase. With proper usage, Brondell products will provide years of reliable use. Owners should read and follow all safety precautions in the literature provided with the product.

top

Can a Swash be used by children, elderly, and handicapped?

Absolutely! Children love using a Swash and they are wonderful for parents with children who are potty-trained but not yet able to clean themselves. Elderly and handicap people can use a Swash because they are so easy to use and so effective in their ability to provide complete cleanliness.

top

Does the seat stay heated at all times?

This is controlled by the user. The seat can be set as follows:

a. Off (no heat)

b. Heated to one of three temperature settings, remaining on at the prescribed setting.

c. To Energy Save mode, which sets the seat to off (no heat) for a specific time period.

top

The Swash TM 400 and Swash TM 600 water is stored in the reservoir located at the rear of the seat.
